As is our tradition at FUMC, we will have our annual worship service of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 22nd at 10 AM. This unique service will feature a live Nativity! For over 70 years, First United Methodist Church of Schenectady has welcomed Christmas with a Dawn Service. Families and friends gather in the sanctuary by 6:30AM for carols and the Christmas story. The church is lit only by candles as worshipers enter silently into the sanctuary to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Come as you are!

Isabelle Demers, Concert Organist
Concert organist Isabelle Demers is rapidly becoming recognized as one of North America's most virtuosic organists. Possessing "bracing virtuosity" (Chicago Classical Review), she has enraptured listeners worldwide with spellbinding performances. A native of Quebec and a graduate of Juilliard, she is Organ Professor and Head of Organ Program at Baylor University in Texas.
