SUMMARY:American Brass Quintet
DESCRIPTION:The American Brass Quintet is internationally recognized as one of the premier chamber music ensembles of our time\, celebrated for peerless leadership in the brass world. Committed to the promotion of brass chamber music through education\, the American Brass Quintet has been in residence at The Juilliard School since 1987 and the Aspen Music Festival since 1970. The New York Times recently wrote that “among North American brass ensembles none is more venerable than the American Brass Quintet\,” while Newsweek has hailed the ensemble as “the high priests of brass.” \nNote: Due to an unforeseen medical issue with of one of the members of Harmonic Brass\, their 2019 American tour has been canceled.

DESCRIPTION:From Broadway to classics\, on stage and in concert\, lyric soprano Lisa Vroman has established herself as one of America’s most versatile voices. Ms. Vroman starred for several years on Broadway as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Also as Christine she garnered Theatre Critics’ awards for the role in a record breaking run in San Francisco. Lisa is a frequent guest soloist with orchestras\, and theater and opera companies around the world. She has performed as a guest of the Kennedy family at a Profiles in Courage Award Dinner as well as for Queen Elizabeth and former presidents Gerald Ford\, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

If you missed the chance to attend or did attend and would like to continue this effort\, plan to gather this coming Thursday\, March 21\, from 7:30-8:30 pm for a memorial at the Al-Hidaya mosque in Latham\, 322 Troy-Schenectady Road.
